A Thirty Four (34) year old man has been robbed and shot by armed robbers at gun-point in broad day-light operation in front of Adventist Senior High School in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The man, yet to be identified, believed to have trailed by the robbers from a bank at Bantama, where he went to withdraw money.

The unfortunate incident has thrown people in the area into a state of shock.

An eyewitness who narrates the incident to Kumasi based Pure Fm Osei Kwadwo said three (3) black motorbikes where used for the robbery with no registration number by at least 8 armed robbers.

Eyewitness narrates: “The man sells books and bible inside Adventist Senior High School. He went to withdraw money so when he got to the main gate of the school they attacked him. He struggled with them and they shot him”.

“The robbers took the money away after they shot the man. I’m sure they followed him from bantama where he went to cash the money. The money was in a polythene bag”.

The victim who has been sent to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment is said to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Police has commenced investigation into the matter.
