AUDIO: Papavi and group innocent of last Friday’s rebels attack – Minister defends

Chairman of the Volta Regional Security Committee, Dr Archibald Letsa has revealed leader of the Homeland Study Group Foundation, Charles Kwame Kudzodzi otherwise known as Papavi and his faction played no role in last Friday’s violent attacks.

Though he admits the latest group is chatting the same path, he indicated that the widely known separatists that started the crusade was not the same who attacked police stations and mounted road blocks.

“The leader of this group causing the problems is different from Papavi we all know…they have another leader. We have an intelligence of the group I would not like to make public.  They belong to the same group, though they are factions and he is not Papavi. We are doing everything to resolve the issue…it is an issue of law enforcement. The security agencies are working round the clock,” he said on Accra-based Adom Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

The claims of Dr Archibald Letsa who is also the Volta Regional Minister, vindicates stance by Seth Mifetu, who claims to be the Public Relations Officer (PRO) the People’s Liberation of Western Togoland has denying their involvement in the recent attacks in Ghana.

“We the People’s Liberation Council of Western Togoland have no hand in what is going on…we are seriously against violence. We the People’s Liberation Council of Western Togoland shall always distance ourselves from acts of lawlessness. I want to state here clearly that Ghana must be held fully responsible for mismanaging a union with Western Togoland. We are calling on the government of Ghana to see a need for a review of the union between Ghana and Western Togoland”, he stated in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
