A 13-year-old class five female pupil in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central region, has allegedly been defiled by two young men aged 19 and 20 years.

According to the victim, the incident happened when she was sent by her grandmother to go and mill corn.

 

“I saw these people who asked me to buy water for them for them and on my return, they touched me with a handkerchief and offered me a bottle of malt to drink which I rejected but they insisted I drink after which I passed out. I woke up and saw nobody around but realised they slept with me,” she narrated in an interview with Adom News.

Meanwhile, grandmother of the victim, confirming the incident said she found the girl with blood all over her after she made announcements at the community’s information centre and rushed her to the hospital.

 

She added that the matter has been reported to the Ajumako police.

The police are on a manhunt to arrest the suspects who have since gone into hiding.
