Social Studies teacher found hanging under suspicious circumstances

A social studies teacher at Senya D/A Basic School has been found hanging on a cashew tree in what residents suspect to be murder.

Shock gripped residents of Busunya the capital of Nkoranza North when they found the deceased hanging on the cashew tree.

The deceased, Abubakar Karim, popularly known as Lil Wayne, 28, was said to have collected his uncle’s motorbike to Senya where his school is located but never returned.

Residents say even though Lil Wayne did not return, the motorbike he borrowed for his trip had returned to the town, sparking suspicions of murder.

The residents say they have their suspicions but will hold on to see what police action will reveal.

An uncle from whom the deceased borrowed the motorbike and his friend who are both in their 50s have been arrested and are in the custody of Nkoranza Municipal Police Command for investigation.

The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Nkoranza St. Theresa’s Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
