[VIDEO]: Assin Fosu BRIBE Policeman in SAKAWA case unmasked; arrested and detained CRIME

The unformed policeman in a widely circulated video on social media negotiating a bribe with some unknown persons  believed to be cyber fraudsters has been unmasked by the police administration,MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.

General Sergeant Owusu Ansah with staff number 45533 assigned to the Assin Fosu  Division of the Ghana Police Service  was seen in the video negotiating the payment and receiving money in a cyber-crime and narcotic case in a drinking bar, the Central Regional Police Command has confirmed.

According to a statement issued by the DSP Mrs Irene Oppong, Central Regional Police Public Relations Officer, General Sergeant Owusu Ansah has since been arrested and detained to assist the police in their investigations.
It would be recalled a number of videos of the cops engagement with some civilians went viral in which he was seen bragging about his ability to free criminals in return for an agreed sum of money.
In the case at hand, he told  his victims he needed  the agreed amount to settle his commander and other senior officials  to enable the police to protect the fraudsters to operate peacefully without being harassed.

Subsequently, he was handed a huge sum of money and without bothering to count, stuffed it into his pocket and promised to count it at another time expressing hope that it was complete following his agreement with the suspects.

The meeting MyNewsGh.com checks revealed, was held at a popular restaurant located at a fuel station in Assin Fosu in the Central Region.
