Counsellor George Lutterodt

Pastor Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, who was recently banned from counselling on either radio or television, has said the controversial Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) for schools in Ghana is a good document.

“Why I am thinking that we are not thinking right about this is that the document is a good document. Let’s study it and modify it or customise it in our cultural perspective, our religious perspective and our personal behavior perspective than the noise,” he told Accra based Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

He said he believes Ghana will be safe if children at age nine are taught to know what a contraceptive is.

To him, the idea deserves resounding applause and Ghanaians must support the initiative because it will go a long way to help the country.

“We are doing everything in our political mind but we are not thinking in our senses as individuals and as Ghanaians. I think this document should be well studied because it is not a crime to teach children these sexual terms. We need the document to assist parents,” he said.

To him, politicians, as well as other meaningful Ghanaians, raising concern over the issue, are only blowing the issues about the CSE out of proportion just to misinform the public.
