GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES GHC 1,750,000 COMPENSATION FOR FAMILIES OF 7 SHOT IN ASAWA

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has given families of the 7 Asawase Zongo men that some Kumasi Police Officers mistook for armed robbers and shot them dead GHC 1, 750,000.

Each family is to receive a package of GHC 250,000.

President noted that he arrived at that decision after engaging in talks with the Inspector General of Police and other key stakeholders.

Meanwhile the police officers who shot these men are on suspension for committing such heinous act.
