Ignore fake “ANTS” group; they are fake – TEWU warns GES staff

The Ashanti regional local chapter of the Teachers and Educational workers Union (TEWU) is warning staff of the Ghana Education Service in the region not to tolerate a new emerging Union by name “Association of Non Teaching Staff (ANTS) whom are believed to be convincing members to break away from the mother group TEWU and join them.
According to the leadership of the Ashanti regional TEWU, information available to them has revealed that the suppose group and it’s members are not a Non teaching staff group but teachers belonging to another Teacher Association.
Speaking in an interview with Otec News, Nana Gyamfi Adutwum who is the Adventist Senior High School TEWU local chairman cautioned members of TEWU and GES staff to be vigilant and stay off the said ANTS group as it is full of greedy hungry fraudsters in order not to fall as a victim.
He however called on all TEWU members to remain calm and resolute behind the group while leadership of the union works hard and leave no stone unturned to address concerns of members.
He added that members should be proud to belong to a union with International recognition and sixty years in Trade Unionism and therefore TEWU would not spend resources to fight for any member who would fall victim to these professional fraudsters.
