Gabby Otchere-Darko’s car reportedly involved in an accident

A car reportedly belonging to Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who is also a nephew of President Nana Akufo-Addo has been involved in an accident.

The accident,YEN.com.gh has gathered, occurred somewhere around Yapei in the Central Gonja District of the Northern Region.

According to a Facebook user, Mahama Haruna who claims to have worked with Gabby for over four years, the accident happened on the morning of Thursday, January 24.

Contrary to his earlier fears, Haruna stated, Gabby was not travelling in the car but his driver and bodyguard were in the vehicle.

The two who were riding in the car were transported to the Tamale Teaching Hospital to receive treatment.

“When I heard the car of Mr Gabby Asare Otchere- Darko was involved in an accident around Yapei in the Central Gonja District of Northern Region this morning, I thought he was inside and my heart jolted (see photos).

“Apparently it was only the driver and the bodyguard inside the car and they are currently receiving treatment at the Tamale teaching hospital.

“Gabby picked me as student Journalist in 2003 and indeed taught me my first practical lessons in journalism. I worked with him for 4 years and still respect him for being my former boss,” Haruna posted with a photo of the accident.
