BOSOME-FREHO DISTRICT ASSEMBLY DONATES TO PERSONS LIVING WITH DISABILITIES (PWDs)

Bosome-Freho District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has today 20th june 2019 made the third disbursement of the disability fund to Persons With Disability (PWD) in the district to empower them to undertake economic ventures that would sustain their lives.

The items presented include Deep Freezers, cocoa spraying machines, provisions, hair dressing equipments, barbering equipments among others, all amounted to about thirty-six thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC. 36,000.00)

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Yaw Danso presenting the items to the beneficiaries monitored by brightwebtv.com, he urged them to take proper care of the items and try to invest into productive ventures to help uplift their standards of living and welfare.

He stated that the purpose of the fund is to empower persons with disability economically to get them out of the streets begging for arms but rather be independent and take care of themselves as well as their families.
The DCE appealed to the public not to discriminate against people with disabilities since it was not their fault that they find themselves in their present conditions.
He added that, the selection of the beneficiaries was very transparent because they followed the prescribed guidelines to arrive at the decision as to who should benefit out of the applications the committee received seeking for support.
He appealed to those who did not benefit to exercise patience as they would be considered during the next batch of disbursement
