Parliament approves GH₵6.3 billion supplementary budget

Parliament has approved the GH₵ 6.3 billion requested by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori- Atta for extra expenditure for the 2019 Financial Year.

The House, through a majority voice vote, approved the request by the Finance Minister.

Joy News’ Parliamentary correspondent, Joseph Opoku Gakpo, reported that the Minority opposed the approval but members of the Majority had their way.

Meanwhile, the Finance Committee in Parliament has been tasked to deliberate on the proposed tax increase and present a report to the House for consideration and adoption.
