National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Hannah Bissiw has tasked the CID boss, Tiwaa Addo-Danquah to produce the three Takoradi kidnapped girls or resign from office if the search comes to no avail.
She said, “We however wish to serve a notice that, the National Women’s Wing of the NDC will be collecting signatures in the next 7 days for a petition to the President, IGP, CID Boss, Attorney General and other International agencies demanding for the CID boss, Tiwaa Addo-Danquah to produce the 3 kidnapped Takoradi girls in the next 14 days or resign from office.”
The former Minister under the Mahama administration alleged that, the CID boss knows the whereabouts of the children but is reluctant to tell the depressed mothers about it, and this issue keeps causing fear and panic in the country.
”The CID boss and Gender Minister must find it as a matter of urgency to find the missing girls and reunite them with their grieving mothers and families”, she averred.
Speaking at a press conference held in Accra to celebrate Mother’s Day, Dr Bissiw noted that, “the day is to celebrate Ghanaian mothers whose children have been kidnapped or their husbands brutalized and/or killed as a result of the increased spate of insecurity and lawlessness under the Akufo-Addo government”
The Women’s Wing of the NDC has registered their disappointed in the CID boss for displaying high level of unprofessionalism in her career.
“The Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress is highly disappointed in the fact that, the kidnapped girls have neither been found nor has any sufficient intelligence been gathered on their whereabouts. Then NDC is saddened by the overt display of the unprofessionalism by Mrs Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.”
She, therefore, called on President Akufo-Addo to bring back the dignity of women, make Ghana safe and a better place for all, especially women and children in the country.
