Bright Ernest Akomea, popularly known as ‘Double’, has denied allegations that he is a member of vigilante group, Invincible Forces.

Giving his testimony at the Emile Short Commission on Tuesday, Mr Akomea revealed that he has been a national security operative for two years and not Invincible Forces.

According to Mr Akomea, prior to his National Security recruitment, he was a phone dealer who trained at Asutuare on how to handle small arms and crowd control .

He told the Commission that he was surprised when an MP (Sam George) who came to swear an oath before the commission said he was a member.

He also told the Commission that he was dressed differently from his colleagues because he had a plaster on his body and needed to wear long sleeves.

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George during his account to the Commission said Double was a member of the pro-NPP militia group, Invincible Forces.

But the General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu during his testimony denied knowledge of ‘Double’s membership in the Invincible Forces.
“I know him to be a member of the New Patriotic Party but I don’t know for a fact that he is a member of invincible forces,” Mr Boadu told the Emile Short-led Commission when he took his turn to testify on Monday.
