Mr. Frank Kwaku Appiah, an NDC serial caller  popularly known as Appiah Stadium says vigilante groups formed by political parties for various reasons must be denounced by all.

Appiah Stadium in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ said he foresees “danger” ahead of the 2020 elections if the police do not take strict measure to “forcefully” stop all activities of these groups; both from the oppositon NDC and the ruling NPP.

“If we are not careful, what will happen in this country in the 2020 election, we can’t handle it if we don’t stop it now,” he warned.

But Appiah Stadium who was at the scene said it is “unfortunate” – according him, he nearly lost his life when escaping from the venue during the shootout.
His comment comes after one person was shot dead while another is serious injuries and on admission at a health facility in Kumasi following an attack by gunmen at NDC’s party’s head office in Kumasi.
The attackers were four in number and arrived at the venue with motorbikes, armed with cutlasses and pistols.

Report says the armed macho men believed to belong to the NDC’s Hawks vigilante group stormed the venue to stop the NDC Ashanti Regional Consultative meeting from coming on.

The Ashanti Regional Police has launched a manhunt for four people suspected to be involved in the shooting that took place in Kumasi at the regional office of the National Democratic Congress.
In an interview with Peace FM News, the Acting Regional Police PRO, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, explained that the four suspects who are believed to be behind the attack, are alleged to be part of an NDC vigilante group, Hawks.
“The suspects who are currently on the police wanted list include Husein Barnabas, also known as Warrior; Mijima, Damos, and Abu Taliban,” he stated.
This search comes after some executive members and supporters of the NDC were attacked at the regional office in Kumasi, on February 18, during a high powered meeting of both some national and regional executives of the party.
