Prison officer nabbed over cannabis

An Assistant Chief Officer of Prisons at the Ankaful Main Camp Prisons in the Central Region, has been arrested for attempting to smuggle into the prison a substance suspected to be cannabis.

The incident occurred around 7pm on Sunday, January 6, 2018 during a routine check.

The suspect (name withheld) has since been handed over to the Elmina Police for further investigations and prosecution.
