Photos: Launch of Shatta Movement fan club marred by clashes

The launch of a Shatta Movement fan club at Ngleshie Amanfro in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region on Saturday turned violent.

Factions from two families are said to have clashed over chieftaincy rights and right to organise the event.

Charles Nii Akramah Mensah, father of Shatta Wale was set to launch the Shatta Movement fan club but an impending chieftaincy feud marred the event.

Officials of the Ghana Police Service in the area later came to the scene and dispersed the crowd.

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale was not present as at the time of the incident but some of his ‘militants’ were seen at the launch.
