Popular Actor Mr Ibu Suffering from Stroke

One of the most beloved comic actors on the continent, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has reportedly suffered a stroke.

Multiple reports by Nigerian news portals reveal that Ibu has been struck with the immobilizing condition for some time now.
The stroke hit the prolific actor after a recent trip to Owerri, dailypost.ng reports.

The President of the Screen Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, reportedly confirmed the news in a chat with e-Nigeria.
“I am aware that Mr Ibu is truly down with stroke, but he is fast recovering and need more of our prayers right now,” he said.
57-year-old Okafor is one of Africa’s finest and funniest actors. His popularity is cemented by the fact that his moniker, Mr Ibu, is taken from one of his movies and has stuck with him ever since.
