Wa All Stars is reportedly acquired by the minority leader of the Parliament of Ghana, Kickgh.com can report.
Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Hurana Iddrisu has completed the takeover of Wa All Stars from former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Former Ghana President Kwesi Nyantakyi decided to sell his club, Wa All Stars following his lifetime ban by FIFA from all football related activities.
It was earlier reported that ex-Ghana international John Paintsil made an approach to acquire the club from Mr. Nyantakyi but negotiations broke down.
According to Atinka FM’s Sports Journalist Saeed Alhassan, the club will be moved from the Upper West region to the Northern region.
The club will also be renamed Steadfast FC to replace the Division One League side which is owned by Hon. Haruna Iddrisu.
