CAF CC: Gyamfi, Yacouba Benched As Kotoko Releases Line-Up Against San Pedro

Asante Kotoko head coach, Kjetil Zachariassen has released his starting eleven who will battle Ivorian side FC San Pedro in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff second leg in Abidjan this afternoon.

The Porcupines lead the tie with a 1-0 first-leg home win and must avoid defeat of a two-goal margin or better still secure any kind of draw to book a place in the group stage of the competition.

The game billed at 4pm local time will be played at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

However, Coach Zachariassen has made four changes to the team that won the first leg game in Kumasi last week.

Centre-back, Wahab Adams gets a first starting line-up spot in this season’s campaign, taking the place of Stephen Ayiku Tetteh, who is on the bench.

Ivorian, Alex Arnold Didi and Samuel Frimpong get the nod ahead of offensive midfielders, Augustine Okrah and Emmanuel Gyamfi respectively, as Kjetil Zachariassen adds more steel to the midfield.

Winger, Kelvin Andoh came on in the second half in the first leg but gets a starting berth ahead of striker, Songne Yacouba.

After the narrow win in the first leg, there must be a winner this afternoon that will proceed to the group stage of the competition.

This is how Kotoko line -up against San Pedro:

GK: Felix Annan (C), Agyeman Badu, Patrick Yeboah, Empem Dacosta, Wahab Adams, Justice Blay, Didi Arnold, Samuel Frimpong, Kelvin Andoh, Collins Ameyaw, Richard Arthur.

Subs:

Osei Kwame
Emmanuel Gyamfi
Songne Yacouba
Naby Laye Keita
Evans Owusu
Stephen Ayiku Tetteh
Augustine Okrah
