Real Madrid crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after suffering an embarrassing defeat to Ajax.

Los Blancos were 2-1 up going into the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Bernabeu but clearly underestimated their visiting opponents.
Hakim Ziyech scored the opener after seven minutes as Ajax cranked up the heat before David Neres turned the tie on its head within the first 20 minutes.
At half-time, the Dutch side were leading 2-0 and threatened to pull off a massive shock.

Things got even better in the second period, with Dusan Tadic scored a third.

Marco Asensio pulled one back to give Real life, but with just under 20 minutes to go, Lasse Schone thumped in a spectacular freekick to complete Ajax’s 4-1 win.
It was a truly astonishing result and it’s one that ends the Spanish side’s era of European dominance.
On the night though, they crashed out with a whimper. Real’s performance was so bad, that many fans are calling for a complete overhaul in the summer.

Santiago Solari’s current team is full of individual stars, but they haven’t worked well together this season.
In fact, there has been plenty of speculation that the dressing room has split and one player, in particular, appears to be causing the manager a headache.

Isco has fallen out of favour under Solari and he’s found opportunities very hard to come by recently.

The midfielder did feature against Barcelona last week, but against Ajax, he didn’t even make the bench and according to reports from Spain, his response to that decision was quite concerning.
Marca have suggested that Isco was furious with Solari’s decision to leave him out of the 18 man squad.
So much so, that he refused to get onto the team bus at Real’s Valdebebas based training facility and didn’t make the journey to the Bernabeu as he was expected to do.

Instead, he left by car and at this moment in time, it’s unclear where he went.
The same report says goes on to say that Isco was so frustrated with the call to drop him that he stayed away from his teammates in the dressing room and wasn’t seen before or after the game.
Incidentally, striker Mariano Diaz was also dropped from the squad but he reacted in a different way and boarded the bus with the team as normal.

Clearly, Isco was far more upset with Solari’s decision and things certainly aren’t looking good for the Spaniard. He’s already unfavoured by the boss and showing this attitude will do him no favours.
