Johan Cruyff Statue Unveiled at Camp Nou

La Liga champions Barcelona unveiled a statue of club legend Johan Cruyff outside the Camp Nou in a ceremony on August 26th.

Club officials and members of Cruyff’s family were all present at the ceremony.

The statue of Cruyff is seen wearing the No. 9 and “issuing instructions with an outstretched arm” to “reflect the way he was a leader on the pitch, but also off it”.

As a Barca manager Cryuff won the La LIga 4 times, Copa del Rey once, Champions League once, the Cup Winners Cup once and the Super Cup once.

As a Barca player, he won:
La Liga: 1973–74
Copa del Rey: 1977–78

The club will open the new Estadi Johan Cruyff, the new home of Barça B and the women’s team, on August 27.
