Information Reaching Our News Desk Has It That The Vice President Of Gambia Mr Badara Alieu Joof Has Died After A Brief Illness In India.

The news was confirmed by the Gambian President , Adams Barrow on Wednesday 18th January 2023. in a post on his Twitter handle.

“Fellow Gambians, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing away of my Vice President, His Excellency, Badara Alieu Joof. The sad event took place in India after a short illness. May Allah grant him Jannahtul Firdawsi,” the President disclosed on Twitter and Facebook.

Mr Badara Alieu Joof was the former minister of Higher Educationa , Research and Technology before becoming the vice President in 2022.
