Stop harassing us, appreciate our sacrifice – Deputy fire Commander tells Ghanaians

The Deputy Regional Fire Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service, Ashanti Region, Divisional Officer Grade 1, Rashid Nisao has called on Ghanaians to stop harassing them when carrying out their duty,but rather appreciate their sacrifice.

According to him,it is so worrying how they sacrifice themselves in doing their job without thinking about the risk involved as fire fighters but people do not think about that.

“We always risk our lives to ensure that lives and properties are protected irrespective of the level of the fire incidents that occur,whereas residents normally run away for their lives”,he said.

The Divisional Officer Grade 1, Rashid Nisao further indicated that it’s about time the general public realize that they are also from families, adding that they have also got responsibilities as family members.

He urged the public from stop pelting them with stones and others.

Speaking to OTEC news reporter, Sarkodie Samuel,on March 26,2024,the Deputy Commander also entreated the police service to provide them with security to enhance their work.

He cautioned that anybody who would be found in such act will face the law accordingly,and therefore entreated the general public to restrain from such behavior.
