The Ghana Premier League giants have reached an agreement with the Portuguese side over the transfer of the young centre-back, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu will be joining Portuguese top-flight club Rio Ave in the next transfer.
The 22-year-old was attracted by the scouts of the Estadio do Rio Ave outfit following his splendid performance in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.
He emerged on the transfer wishlist of clubs in Portugal and Serbia but the Rioavistas lads have won the race to sign him during the summer transfer window.
“Agyemang-Badu will be joining a Portuguese club called Rio Ave FC in summer. Yes it’s a done deal,” a close source told Kickgh.com
“He will be leaving the country in June to start a new chapter of his football career in Portugal. Details of the deal will be announced by both clubs [Asante Kotoko and Rio Ave]”
“We had offers from several clubs in Portugal and Serbia but we opted for Rio Ave. Rio Ave is one of the best clubs in Portuguese football and it will help Agyemang-Badu as he climbs the ladder of his football career”
In May 2018, the lanky defender who can also operate as a defensive midfielder joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal from second-tier club Phar Rangers for an undisclosed fee.
He made three appearances – 270 minutes – for Asante Kotoko in the 2018 Ghana Premier League season which ended abruptly.
Agyemang-Badu has featured seven (7) times for Asante Kotoko so far in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
