The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ghana has surged to 1550, the Ghana Health Service

 has reported.

The latest update on the Ghana Health Service website as of Sunday, April 26, 2020, indicates that 271 more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus since last Friday, April 24, 2020.

According to the updates 11 persons have died to the disease while an additional 21 recoveries have been recorded bringing the total recoveries in Ghana to 155
