The Porcupine Warriors have parted ways with four of their senior players ahead of the GFA Normalization Special Competition.
Asante Kotoko have terminated the contract of Naby Keita, Abass Mohammed, Obed Owusu and Daniel Nii Adjei following their poor outputs.
The four players were declared surplus to requirements by the technical team of the Kumasi-based club headed by Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
Guinean striker Naby Keita and Nii Adjei joined the club few months ago ahead their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Former Medeama FC talisman Abass Mohammed had an unsuccessful stint at Asante Kotoko due to injuries.
Kickgh.com understand that three other players will also be released in the coming days.
Asante Kotoko will host Aduana Stars in the NC Special Competition opener at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
