Historic funeral must bring harmony between Abudus, Andanis- Dr Bawumia as he receives rousing Dagbon welcome

His Excellency Vice President Dr Bawumia has commended both the Abudu and Andani Royal gates of Dagbon for their commitment to peace and harmony in Yendi and the Northern Region at large, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

The Vice President received a rousing welcome to the Northern Region where he joined the sons and daughters of Dagbon in Yendi for the funeral rites of the late Ya Naa Yakubu Andani II, king of Dagbon.

He also attended the funeral of the late Ya Naa Mahamadu Abdulai IV at Yendi.

“The performance of these two funerals is historic and thanks goes to God, the President, the Eminent Chiefs, the Abudu and Andani Royal Gates and all stakeholders who made this possible.” he noted on Facebook.

“I am hopeful that the performance of the funerals for the two late kings of Dagbon will lead to lasting peace and security, and foster greater harmony.” he added.

The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sae-ed, The National Security Minister, Albert Kandapah, the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apietu and other high profile government personalities were there.

Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region attended the event.
