Six football fans sustained injuries during the match-day three of the GFA Normalization Committee Special Cup at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
Part of the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park collapsed during the match between Karela United and Hearts of Oak on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the 65th minute of the game where the match was halted for some minutes.
A lone goal from Sarfo Taylor helped Karela United to record a 1-0 home victory over Hearts of Oak in the match-day three of the Normalization Committee Special Cup.
Karela United director of communications, Eric Alagidede confirmed the incident to Accra based Atinka FM.
” It was part of the popular stands that collapsed during the game,” Mr. Alagidede told Atinka FM
“As at now can confirm only six persons who sustained minor injuries”
