Sarkodie's 'Try Me' was removed from Spotify and Apple Music because someone uploaded the unauthorised version - MOG Beatz

MOG Beatz, the acclaimed producer behind Sarkodie‘s hit track “Try Me,” has revealed why the track was removed from several streaming sites.

On Monday Afternoon, fans of Sarkodie realized that the song was no longer on Apple Music and other streaming sites. Social media was rife with rumours that it was taken down due to its derogatory and explicit content.

But the award-winning producer has cleared the air and revealed that an unauthorized version of the track was uploaded on various streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify by an anonymous person.

Upon discovering the unauthorized release, the Sarkcess team swiftly took action to address the issue at hand.

Understanding the potential legal implications and the necessity of safeguarding Sarkodie’s intellectual property, the team launched efforts to remove the song from major streaming platforms, including Apple Music.

Clearing the air in response to another tweet, he replied, “This guy uploaded the song right after it was leaked.. the guy cash out saa Apple Music & Spotify figa say e be the rightful owner.. The Sarkcess team is working on taking it down ASAP. Continue streaming on all other platforms 🔊🔥”

 

Recall that Rapper Sarkodie responded to Yvonne Nelson‘s memoir, “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON,” through a diss song titled “Try Me.”

In the track, Sarkodie shares his side of the story regarding his past relationship with Yvonne Nelson.

The song, which has some very strong content characterized was released on June 28, 2023, at 1:4 am while most Ghanaians had retired to bed.

The ‘Can’t Let You’ singer shared the link to the song on his YouTube channel via a tweet.

In the new song, he addressed the controversy surrounding Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, where she mentioned him as the father of an unborn child but claimed he shirked his responsibilities.

But the song was leaked online and an anonymous person took the financial remuneration from the streams.
