Renowned Ghanaian Broadcaster and Reggae musician,  Blakk Rasta born Abubakar Ahmed has vowed never to play any dancehall music on his radio programme explaining that it is against his believes as a Rastafarian.

He observes that whereas reggae music dwells on conscience and prayer dancehall promotes promiscuity which is why he will never allow such genres of music to pass on his show.

Speaking in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he disclosed that reggae music is a source of inspiration to many and serve as a life booster but same cannot be said about dancehall he said is needless noise.

He added that dancehall is synonymous to violence which is why at the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ceremony, there was brawl between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale over an award leading to the brandishing of a gun.

“Dancehall promotes sex and violence that is why I don’t play dancehall music on my shows. I don’t understand the dancehall they are doing, most of the artistes hate me because of my stance. Reggae is different from dancehall, dancehall came out of reggae. Left to me alone, Reggae category should stand alone as it used to be in the past,’ he suggested in a video sighted by MynewsGh.com.
