MALIK AKOWUAH, SOWAH INVITED FOR TRIALS IN NIGERIA*

Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Malik Akowuah and goalkeeper Ernest Sowah have earned invitation from Nigerian giants Heartland FC for trials.

The duo recently parted ways with Accra Hearts of of following the expiration of their initial contracts with the club and have been unattached since.

Akowuah finished his three years contract with the Phobians after joining from Medeama SC in 2016, and both parties agreed not to renew the deal. Sowah, who joined the Phobians from arch rivals Asante Kotoko, also moved on after his contract with the club expired.

Five times Nigerian Professional Football League winners Heartland FC have officially invited two Ghanian stars for assessment pending a possible deal.

Akowuah and Sowah are will both depart Ghana this weekend (Saturday) for Owerri state to secure a deal with Heartland FC as the club prepares for the 2019/2010 Nigerian league which is due to start by September 22.
