The woes of the former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is far from over as he has been banned from speaking for the party.
Bernard Allotey Jacobs who is an ardent critic of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been asked not to represent the NDC on any radio or television platform.
NDC National Communications Director, Sammy Gyemfi confirmed this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday.
In a text message to show host, Osei Bonsu, it said Mr. Allotey Jacobs no longer speaks for the NDC.
This development, according to the party stemmed from actions and inaction of the former Central Regional Chairman which in their opinion is inimical to the NDC’s success.
His issue became murkier when he urged party delegates to vote out General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito during national executive elections.
Allotey Jacobs explained that, some executives at the party’s headquarters including General Mosquito have organized themselves into a mafia and are stalling the progress of the party ahead of general elections in 2020.
So when he [Mosquito] won the seat, Mr. Jacobs according to reports was declared persona non grata in the NDC.
