The New Patroric Party (NPP) communications member in the Amenfi-East Constituency and also a former KNUST TESCON VICE PRESIDENT, Mr. Ernest Frimpong popularly known as *Costaro* , Has charged the Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to come out with the names and videos he captured during his investigative work Whereby some officials rejected his trapped offer.
According to Costaro, the recent Anas’s documentary dubbed “galamsey fraud” which centered on one of the president Akuffo-Addo priorities in his administration, i.e the fighting against illegal mining and one of such government officials captured in the secret filming is the Secretary to the Inter-ministerial committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM) Mr. Charles Cromwell Bissiw who was seen taking cash amounting to ¢35,000.00 in three meetings through one Andy Owusu, meanwhile, he is a witness to some people (Officials) who was also tested with an amount of ¢1,000. 00 during this”galamsey fraud” documentary but they refused to accept the offer but Anas did not publish those uncorrupted officials neither to give them credit.
Addressing the press, Mr. Frimpong stressed that, he has observed and realized that, the aim of The multi award winner uncover journalist Anas, is to sell Ghana to the international market that, all Government officials are corrupt and for that matter, no investor should pass through the government’s procedure in setting up business in Ghana but rather they should look for an agents and negotiate with them.
I am therefore challenging Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his entire Tigereyes crew as they claimed to be an anti-corruption campaigners to come out (expose) with the names of all the uncorrupt officials they have met since their undercover journalistic work Mr Frimpong urged.
He finally said, one of the Anas’s AGENDA is to make the government unpopular to the foreign investors.
