Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yammin and a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu-Juaben, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh  have  both  been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command over the gun attack at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) office at Amakom on Monday.

Joseph Yammin who confirmed this to MyNewsGh.com a while ago, revealed he got home this afternoon to be informed that armed policemen in a police branded vehicle came to his residence looking for him.
“I am told the came this morning around 10am. They have gotten in touch with me again and I am on my way to the police headquarters with my lawyer”, he disclosed.
Earlier today about 10 armed men stormed the Ejisu home of Yamoah Ponkoh to invite him to the police headquarters as part of ongoing investigations to unmask the main culprit behind Monday’s shooting incident.

Sources close to Yamoah Ponkoh revealed the police searched his house and detained him for about 2 hours before being taken to the police station.
The former government appointee had earlier in an interview revealed he saw the man who pulled the trigger.
He explained he came to meet the persons at the precincts of the secretariat at the time he arrived without anything to suggest there was tension insisting he saw the person who fired the shots.
“It was an open place and they were chatting and there was nothing to suggest they were fighting or having any confrontation. I saw the person who pulled the trigger but I have never met him in my life except today. Almost all the faces I met at the place I can say it is just 1% whose faces are familiar. But the guy who fired the shots, I was there when the incident happened”, he revealed.
