DESIST FROM VIGILANTISM ,ZONGO YOUTH URDGED

The president of the council of Northern chiefs at Mpasatia Chief Abdullai Mohammed has cautioned Muslim and zongo youth to desist from vigilantism .

According to the outspoken chief Imam , political parties have taken Muslims and zongo youth for granted for quiet a long time and the time has come for Muslims leaders to cautioned their youth to part ways with these political parties.

Chief Abdullai who was speaking in an exclusive interview with Otec Fm news reporter Derrick Ekuoba Gyasi bemoans why most political leaders are Muslim yet they push these Muslim youth into political violence leading to their untimely death.

He said these political parties who spearhead these Vigilante groups capitalize on the ilitracy level of the Zongo youth , decieve them with money and push them into all sought of violence for their selfish interest .

It could be recorded that the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu Addo today in his state of the Nation address in parliament called on other political parties especially the leading opposition National Democratic Congress and the rulling New Patriotic Party to come into agreements to disband all Vigilante group to ease tension in the country .

Chief Abdullai who has on several occasions called on stakeholders to deal with vigilantism heaped praise to the President for this bold decision.

He further advised the leaders in the Zongo communities to sensitize their youth on the effect of voilence and how vigilantism can erupt into National violence .
