A/R: FORMER TESCON PRESIDENT FOR GARDEN CITY UNIVERSITY DEAD

The Ashanti Regional Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is devastated to learn of the unfortunate passing of one of its industrious and iconic activists, Abigail Boateng.

Miss Boateng served the party in various capacities and fronts upon rising to prominence as the President of the Garden City University College (GCUC)-TESCON. She’s currently a polling station women organizer in the Suame Constituency. As a leader, her formidable presence and involvement in student politics inspired and influenced a lot of young ladies to develop interest in active politics. But Abigail never morphed into the dreaded arrogant prima donna. She always kept a cool, calm, humble and affable disposition to the admiration of everyone she came into contact with.

As a Polling Station Executive at the Suame Constituency, she combined student/youth activism and grassroots activism to wonderful effect.

Her rather short political career has produced innumerable memorable moments of an industrious and vibrant young political activist, and anyone with whom she has served the party has a couple of them which seems emblematic.

Abigail is gone, but she will forever be remembered for her selfless zealous service to the party in the region and beyond. May God bless the soul of this faithful young patriot.

Background

Miss Abigail Boateng, was the Director of Operations for the Women wing- Middle Belt ( Ashanti, Oti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Eastern Regions ).

Miss Abigail was one of the keenly noted hardworking,selfless,courageous, dedicated and vociferous youth activitists
of the New Patriotic Party in Ghana notably Ashanti Region.

She was one of the few women in the history of TESCON- student wing of NPP who served as TESCON President at Garden City University College in Ashanti Region

She was a Polling Station Women Organizer in Suame Constituency.

Also, she mobilized the young ladies that joined the entourage of the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akuffo Addo when she paid homage to Otumfuo Osei Tutu.

She was the Director of Operation for the current acting Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer Dennis Kwakwa campaign team named ” *Team Kwakwa*” .

Also, during Otumfuor Osei Tutu’s 20th anniversary Celebration, she successfully mobilized the entire Ushering Team in collaboration with Planting for Foods and Jobs.
