Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs has chided the chairman of National Peace Council, Professor Emmanuel Asante for calling on former President John Mahama to apologise for his reaction towards the mayhem that characterised the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
The Christian Council chairman had asked the former president to apologise for inciting his party people to stand up against any attacks on them by asigns of the NPP.
But Mr Jacobs is appalled by the Peace Council Chairman’s call, especially when he has failed to address or condemn the primary cause of the former President’s comment.
“Instead of condemning the conduct of the security, you are condemning Mahama. Shame unto Emmanuel Asante,” he stated.
Mr Allotey Jacobs who was speaking on Adom TV’s morning show “Badwam” Tuesday is of the conviction that former President Mahama will win the 2020 elections hence nothing would bring him down.
“Mahama will soon be the leader of NDC. I will always support him and so if he says we will match the NPP boot0-for-boot, I fully support him,” he said.
