The asokwa constituency 1st vice chairman of the rulling New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region,Mr Edmund Kyei has started that the shooting incident that happened in kumasi at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Regional office was as a result of boot for boot comment made by the former president of Ghana John Mahama and what happened was their way to rehearse ahead 2020 general election

He revealed that barely a month ago when Ex President John Mahama declared his “boot for boot” formation for the 2020 elections, his party has started rehearsing.
Monday 18 February 2019 will forever remain a dark day in the minds of NDC faithfuls in the Asante Region.
A supposedly quiet regional executive committee meeting came to an abrupt end when two militants groups of the NDC crashed at Regional Secretariat of NDC in Kumasi whilst the meeting was in progress.

The chaos according to eyewitness resulted in the firing of gunshots by members of the NDC Hawks. One NDC sympathize is reportedly dead after he was shot four times at close range. Three people in critical conditions at the KATH.

This events sterns from the unguided comment made by the Ex President that his party was born out a revolutionary background and had no co-equals in perpetuating violence.
Today’s event can only be best deceived as rehearsal of Mahama plans during this weekend NDC Presidential primaries and the 2020 elections.

Whilst I condemn and extend my condolences to the bereaved family, I call on the police and other security agencies to start investigations into the cause of the riot.

I equally call on the the incompetent Ex President to apologize to Ghanaians for instigating such riot throughly his hate speech.
