Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has played host to four African presidents at the Jubilee House in Accra to discuss matters of mutual benefit and interest on Friday, 22 February 2019.
The on-day meeting was between Mr Akufo-Addo and the President of Cote d’Ivoire, Mr Alasanne Ouattara; the President of Togo, Mr Faure Gnassingbe; the President of Benin, Mr Patrice Talon; and the President of Burkina Faso, Mr Roch Marc Christian Kabore.
The meeting, according to a statement signed by Ghana’s Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, was held at the invitation of President Akufo-Addo, and is part of a series of regular interactions held by the five presidents.
“The discussions focused on addressing matters of mutual interests in the areas of trade, security and regional integration”, the statement said.
The visiting presidents were to leave Accra the same day for their respective countries.
