In the wake of the upsurge of kidnapping issues and armed robbery cases in the country, a security analyst has rubbished claims that Ghana is in a state of crisis.

According to Paul Boateng, even though the matter is worrying, he believes the police is in control of affairs.

“Ghana is not in a security crisis. We know the police as well as the security agencies will  deal it.Ghana is safe” he stated.

His comments were in response an upsurge of murder cases in recent times couple with series of kidnapping with sections of Ghanaians indicating that there is insecurity in the country the need for the police administration and sister security agencies to up their game.

To him, although the security is performing averagely well, the failure of the security authorities to convict criminals has emboldened other miscreants to go about their nefarious activities with impunity; a situation which he says threatens the security of law-abiding citizens.

Commenting on the recent kidnap cases particularly in the Western region, the security analyst said authorities must identify the route cause and nib it in the bud.

“This is crucial to ensure unity, tolerance, and a future of peace and stability for all Ghanaians” he added.

Mr. Boateng, however, called on stakeholders to ensure each girl, upon their return, receives the needed medical attention.
