The police in the Ashanti Region said they have foiled a plot to assassinate the district chief executive for Bosome Freho, Yaw Danso.

Two suspects in the alleged plot have been arrested at a hideout at Ejisu, police in the Bosome Freho District said.

The district commander of police, ASP Seidu Braimah, who led the operation on Thursday, said the two suspects have since been handed over to the Ejisu Divisional Command to assist with investigations.
