BREAKING NEWS:Chunks of Expired Fertilizers uncovered in a Bush

Over seven thousand bags of expired fertilizers have been found deposited in a bush Datano, a suburb of Sefwi Wiawso Municipality in the Western Region .

According to some residents of the area, the NDC government through the ministry of Agriculture procured those fertilizers with the view of distributing them to farmers in 2016 for free but after NPP assumed office, the government intended to sell the fertilizers to farmers but most farmers could not afford the Price because it was exorbitant.

They went on to say that the fertilizers were later given to farmers but these fertilizers had expired so the farmers rejected them.

The residents accused Codapeck officials of being the culprits behind this act alleging that codapeck officials hired the services of a man in the area who was paid an amount of 100 cedis every day to keep watch over these expired fertilizers.

However,bestnewsghana.com reporter Kojo Prekese in an interview with the Codapeck officer of Sefwi wiawso Municipal Asembly, John Ahi, denied the allegations and called on the media and the public to help carry out an investigation to arrest the culprits behind this act.
