Father of late Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal, Osman Mohammed, says he is going to miss his son whose death has left him devastated.

According to him, though the death of their son on Wednesday came as a big blow to the family, they believe God knows best.

Speaking in an interview during the burial service of late Lance Corporal Awal, Mr Mohammed said “Awal is the only male among eight children; he was a respectful and meek person and even I the father had so much respect for him. I have really lost a son.”

The father amidst tears added: “I raised him in the fear of the Lord and I am going to miss him.”

Lance Corporal Awal, together with his colleague, Sergeant Dwamesi with the Kasoa Divisional Command of the Motor, Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service were on Wednesday afternoon killed by armed men at Kasoa Budumburam.

Three suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the killings with Eric Kojo Duah who is believed to be the major suspect on the run.
