Deaf student remanded in prison for ‘chopping’ the anus of his classmate

A student of the School for the Deaf in Kuje, Abuja (Nigeria), Sani Filo, has been remanded in Keffi prison, for sodomizing one of his classmates, Muhammed Kanum.
Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, disclosed this yesterday March 26th while presenting a committee report on the sexual abuse at the School for the Deaf in Kuje, Abuja.
The mother of the victim had petitioned the Minister’s office in January this year after her son informed her of what Sani did to him.
Upon receiving the petition, the Minister constituted a committee of inquiry. The committee presented its report yesterday.
The report indicated that Sani had been prosecuted in a court and is currently being remanded in Keffi prison, Nasarawa state.
