JUST In: 7 people DEAD in another accident at Ejisu Kubease

Seven people have been confirmed dead while several others were injured in an accident involving an STC bus headed for Kumasi and a Temsa Imperial Express bus from Bawku heading to Accra this afternoon around 2pm.

The STC Intercity bus had a registration number GR 2565- 17 and the Temsa Imperial Express bus GE 5959-19.

According to official police report, the STC bus on reaching a section of the road at Kubease on Ejisu-konongo highway,he made an overtaking and in the process collided with Imperial Express bus.

Seven persons died at the spot whilst unspecified number of passengers sustained various degree of injuries and were rushed to Ejisu Government hospital and komfo Anokye Teaching hospital respectively for treatment.

Bodies of the deceased persons were conveyed and deposited at Juaben Government hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy.

The accident vehicles have been impounded for investigation.
