Undercover Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his team from Tiger Eye PI were among hundreds of mourners who stormed a public cemetery at Madina a suburb of Greater Accra to bury the remains of Mr Ahmed Hussein-Suale who was shot to death by unknown assailants.
At the family home of the deceased, a requiem in accordance with the Islamic custom was held for him with mourners praying for his peaceful repose before his body was taken to the cemetery for interment.
It was a solemn atmosphere as MyNewsGh.com observed as close relations were seen sobbing as they lowered his body into the grave which is his final resting place and covered it with sand.
The Tiger Eye PI crew Ahmed Hussein-Suale was on Wednesday night at about 10:30pm shot in his BMW salon car by unknown assailants.
He Played a key role in the investigative piece of Anas’ Number 12 that bothered on corruption in football was reportedly shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck Wednesday night at Madina a suburb of Accra.
The unidentified men were said to be riding a motorbike. He was rushed to the police hospital but confirmed dead on arrival and his body deposited at the morgue of the same facility.
Reacting to news of his death, Anas posted a video in which the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong was issuing threats and wrote “Sad news, but we shall not be silenced. Rest in peace, Ahmed”
Meanwhile, Hon Kennedy Agyapong who is being accused of exposing the deceased to attack has stated emphatically that he knows nothing about the murder.
He avers that, the young journalist never offended him whiles alive so it’s unfortunate that he has been linked to his ‘unfortunate’ death.
“A friend called to tell me that there is something trending on social media that I engineered the killing of one Ahmed. First of all, the guy has never offended me in anyway,” he said.
“When I premiered the ‘Who watches the watchman’ at Oman FM premises, I was told that I know Ahmed very well because he has been coming to my station for money. So I ordered them to stop him [Ahmed] from coming there and ‘beat the hell out from him’ because he can fix secret cameras around. This is what I said,” the controversial lawmaker told host, Kwesi Aboagye in an interview.
